Registration Closes Tomorrow!

Just a reminder that the registration deadline is tomorrow.

Also a reminder about the optional pot-luck at the fields at 6 PM August 26. Head Coach Meek will be doing some coaches training, and aside from that, it's all social. Go ahead & crash if you previously played with us but are sitting the season out. :-)

It's That Time of Year: Fall 2008 Registration!

Things to talk about …

We are planning an optional potluck at the soccer field at 6 PM the Tuesday before we start (August 26) both to socialize and so Head Coach Meek can spend some time training coaches. It would be great if all the coaches could make it so we’re all on the same page at the first practice. Everyone is invited, coaching or not. Bring everything you need. I will have lemonade, but aside from that what we eat is left to providence. (Yes, Saturday would have been better, but the church was scheduled for both of the 2 Saturdays prior to season. :) )

PICNIC CANCELED

Due to a schedule change, we will not be able to meet for a potluck on April 19th. The weather should be better for this in the fall anyway!

Spring 2008 Registration NOW OPEN!

The online registration forms are now available on the website for you to complete and submit or print & mail. (You still need to mail your check.)

THIS IS THE LAST SEASON WE WILL SEND OUT PAPER MAILINGS.
[Talk to us if you need an exception.]

Schedule irregularities for Spring 2008 …

• We are planning an optional potluck at the soccer field the Saturday before we start (April 19) both to socialize and so Head Coach Meek can spend some time training coaches. It would be great if all the coaches could make it so we’re all on the same page at the first practice. Everyone is invited, coaching or not. Bring everything you need. I will have lemonade, but aside from that what we eat is left to providence.
• First practice is Tuesday, April 22
• We must SKIP Saturday, April 26, due to a wedding at the church – NO SOCCER
• Second practice is Tuesday, April 29
• First game is Saturday, May 3 (INCH conference)
• No soccer Saturday, May 24 – Saturday before Memorial day

Things to talk about …

• THANK YOU Mr. Ken Meek for offering to be head coach!!! Ken will be working to help us parents learn the game better so we can be better (and more?) coaches.
• There were lots of injuries last fall. If anyone has suggestions about what is causing them, we would love to hear.
• We had problems with students being late for the start of games last fall. Coaches were forced to reassign teams at the start of games, and then reshuffle teams again when students start showing up. Please (please, please, please, please) arrive BEFORE announcements start.
• Remember that parent attendance on the field is expected – even if your student can drive…
• This is the last season we will send out paper registration notices. If you do not have access to Email at all, then PLEASE contact Craig. We will work with you.
• We do not “keep attendance,” but we did run into an issue last season one student playing only on Tuesdays. I thought it would be OK, but it caused difficulty for his team. We will make no rule on this, but please think twice about enrolling a student who will miss a lot.
• U16 students need to please refrain from after-game rugby or whatever you called it. Also, most U14 parents objected to the idea of combining these divisions when that was proposed last season, so please do not invite them to a match when your games are over.

Spring 2008 Registration

Spring '08 season will start April 26 and run through June 7.

Registration has not yet begun - watch this space to sign up when that happens.

Remember - if your student played in the fall, you are already paid for the spring!

THANKS!

Tomorrow is registration deadline!

Just a reminder that if you haven't registered and wanted to, that tomorrow is the deadline. If you have registered or don't plan to you don't need to do anything (I realize you don't get feedback from the website, but I have been receiving registrations.) If I hear from you, then you're in & we'll get the check when we can.

If you really don't want to coach, sign up for another volunteer spot as well - I'll take that into consideration as much as possible.

Online Registration now ongoing!

The online registration forms are now available on the website for you to complete and submit or print & mail. (You still need to mail your check.)

We plan to switch to Email-and-Web-only registration within a couple of seasons. [Talk to us if you need an exception.]

Please note that you MUST complete the REQUIRED fields on the form or your registration will be invalid! This includes your preference for COACHING. Every family must have one adult volunteer for a coach position. Make sure you complete this field (marked in red bold letters) in order to participate in the Fall 2007 Soccer Season!

Thanks and we look forward to this upcoming season! :D

Fall Registration to begin

** FROM THE WEBMASTER **

There was a technical delay to getting the registration form online and ready. This should be up by tomorrow evening. Check back for an update on the home page of MFYSL.COM

Registration ends tomorrow!

April 6th, FRIDAY, registration is over for the spring season.

Please, as you are registering, note what coaching position you would prefer. We have too many T-Shirt Coordinators and not enough coaches. If we do not have enough coaches, kids' teams without coaches will not be able to play. If you did not select a particular coaching day or team, email Craig with your selections.

Registrations are being received. No confirmation email will arrive in your email box. If once you have registered, you return back to the MFYSL website, that means your registration was a success!

Looking forward to a great season!

Happy Easter!

Spring 2007 Registration Begins

It’s hard to believe that there is grass under snow at Christ the King (CTK) but I’m told there is. Easter is a little early this year, but we expect the fields will be no worse than our muddy spring at Five Points last year – probably much better.

Registration materials are sent out by Email roughly a week before they are “snail-mailed,” so please provide an Email address if you can to save the league money on postage. We prefer that you register online here at our website, but registration forms are available on the website for you to print & mail. (You still need to mail your check. :) )

We plan to switch to Email-and-Web-only registration within a couple of seasons. [Talk to us if you need an exception.]

We are limited by the amount of space available for fields, therefore we operate on a first come first serve basis. Limit of 24 students per field.

Registrations must arrive by Friday April 5, 2007.
No registrations accepted after April 5 (Matt 5:37.)

As with prior seasons, you will not be contacted by the league or your child's coach prior to the first practice.

Online registration can be found here >

Registration...

Registration for the Soccer season Fall 2006 has ended!

Thank you for your interest!

Registration is Underway...

Registration has begun for the Fall 2006 season. We have quite a large number of students participating, and are limited by the amount of space we have available for fields. Therefore, we must operate on a first come, first serve basis. Limit of 24 students per field.

Registration forms have been sent via email and within the next few days, they will be available by web.

Registration deadline is Tuesday, August 22, 2006. No registrations will be accepted after August 22 (Matt 5:37).

Remember, you will not be contacted by the league or your child's coach prior to the first practice.

Location news...

Christ the King (CTK) is well into their construction. They have seeded parts of our old fields and are still building where the U4 fields used to be. It looks like we can return to CTK next spring, Lord willing. Hang in there - I realize this is inconvenient for some.
